Oil & Gas enterprises needed a unified platform to manage QHSSE compliance across distributed teams and facilities. The existing processes relied on fragmented spreadsheets and manual audits, creating blind spots in safety compliance and delaying incident response times by days.
I designed a modular architecture separating audit workflows, incident reporting, and compliance tracking into independent microservices. The RBAC system was built with a hierarchical permission model — from corporate admins down to site-level inspectors — ensuring each role only sees and edits data within their scope. Real-time dashboards aggregate safety metrics using WebSocket connections for live facility monitoring.
Built the full permission engine from scratch, supporting inheritance-based access control with override capabilities. Designed the audit workflow system with configurable templates, automated scheduling, and digital signature capture. Implemented a notification pipeline that routes alerts based on incident severity and geographic proximity to first responders.
